It’s been quite a while since our last blog.
We got off to a shaky start with Chris having a low fall from a ladder at home at the end of December, requiring immediate hip replacement surgery to go with his broken arm. Luckily after three weeks in hospital and rehab, he was able to come home and learn what to do, and not to do, if you have a new hip! Learning how to go up and down 16 steps to our accommodation upstairs was no mean feat!
All is back on track now, and we have welcomed longer stays from guests, involved in a variety of activities – junior Australian sailing championships at Manly, National swimming championships at Chandler, Irish family touring SE Queensland, celebrating special birthdays locally and relocating from interstate in the search for long term accommodation.
It never ceases to amaze us the reasons why people choose to come to The Friendly Chat.
Invariably the home-away-from-home ambiance is what they comment on and enjoy.
So many thanks for those guests who have arrived and enjoyed what we offer.
